Grandmother Billie and Grandmother Kahuna Pahia

Grandmother Billie - also known as Purple Harvest Woman, is a Traditional Aboriginal woman, mother and grandmother. She is one of the founding members of the Kookum Gaa Na Da Maa Waad Abinoojiiak (Grandmothers Protecting Our Children) Council. As the former Children’s Advocate for the Province of Manitoba in Canada, Billie has worked in the helping profession for over 25 years in the areas of Addictions, Child Protection, Children’s Rights, Children’s Mental Health, and Healing. She was previously a member of the Child Welfare League of Canada and was mandated to review child deaths in Manitoba, making recommendations to government based on her findings. Billie is a member of the World Council of Elders, a member of the Grandmothers of Turtle Island Council and has worked to develop Grandmother Councils with the Indigenous peoples in other parts of the world. For over 20 years, Billie has been a Sun Dancer and ceremony keeper both in Canada and Internationally. She is a Trainer /Consultant, sits on the Board of Directors for the Circle of Life Thunderbird House and on the Advisory Council of Elders for NWMO (Nuclear Waste Management Organization). Billie is currently the Chief Executive Officer for Metis Child & Family Services Authority of Manitoba, Canada. Billie has worked with other Grandmothers internationally to conduct ceremonies for the universal healing of Mother Earth and her waters. She works specifically from the teachings of acknowledging how all of our actions affect up to the next 7 generations. Billie believes in “working from the spirit” and building capacity within the individual, the family, the community, and within organizations by inspiring others to work from a strength-based philosophy.

GrandmotherTutu Wahine Vahinetapu Kahuna Hauolikeakahulilani Pahia was born on Oahu and raised atop a mountain at Maunalani, Oahu. She is of Hawaiian, Tahitian, Lakota Sioux, English, Scotch, Welsh, French and German descent. Both of Kahuna Pahia’s parents are of Hawaiian royal and kahuna lineage. She was raised in the Ohana family system, and was uniquely taught by 13 Kahuna (both men and women) and honors these very special teachers who passed on their knowledge of protocol, Kumulipo, all aspects of Huna (including Ho’oponopono), Ho’ohanau (birthing) and Kuauhau (genealogy.) “Among the wonderful Kahuna who taught me, I was very inspired by Papa Kala who was an avid Hawaiian Speaker of the Old Way, and Auntie Peggy Ha’o-Ross who created Ohana O’ Hawaii, was a leader of sovereignty for the true Kingdom of Hawaii, protocol and the Kahuna Code of Spirituality.” Kahuna Pahia is a Rainbow Bridger and Keeper of Prophecies, Kahuna Ao of Light and Love, and a KEEPER OF THE SPIRIT OF ALOHA. She focuses on Peace Education in the Power of Aloha. Kahuna Pahia performs unique and authentic weddings, blessings of all kinds internationally, ceremonies, tours of sacred sites throughout Hawaii, counseling and much more.

We have the pleasure of hosting two Indigenous Grandmothers this coming July.  Kahuna Pahia from Hawaii and Grandmother Billie from Canada.  We have events that are listed below.

Wed 24th July at the Theosophical Society in Glasgow : A Gathering of Women of all Ages.  Both Grandmothers will share their wisdom and ceremonies as we gather in Sacred Space to celebrate and support each other as women.  Suggested Donation £10 : Children free 6.45pm to 10pm approx.

Thurs 25th July at Ardrossan South Beach : Water Blessing at Ardrossan South Beach, :  led by Kahuna Pahia and supported by Grandmother Billie. Men, Women and children - Let us all join together and send love and support to our waters at this time.  With music and ceremony we will send our message all around the planet. Suggested Donation £5, children free.  6.45pm to 8.45pm.  Trains run from Glasgow Central Station takes approx 40mins to Adrossan South Beach Station.  Buses leave from Buchanan Street bus station.

Friday the 26th of July at the Theosophical Society in Glasgow : Community Gathering with Indigenous Elders from Canada and Hawaii. All are welcome - men, women and children :  Commencing at 6.45pm to 10pm on Friday the 26th.  Starting at 10.30am to 6pm Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th.  Suggested Donation £70 for weekend : Friday evening suggested donation £10.  Each day a suggested donation £35 if not able to come for whole weekend.  Children- no charge. Healing and Strengthening our Spirit (wounds of yesterday and today, Generational (Ghost Pains), Familial (all that we take on from our family) and in day to day life.
Sacred Laws from our Indian Traditions, Pipe Teachings, Clan systems and how they can be useful as others explore their own Cultures and Ancestry.

Kahuna Pahia from Hawaii will be working beautifully with Ho'o Pono Pono and releasing the unresolved issues of Generational pain, she will bring her musical instruments and the teachings of Huna from her Kapuna.

Together weaving a beautiful blanket of Peace, Love and Joy.
